Annie North welcomes students each year from a number of disciplines such as Social Work, Community Services, Mental Health, Maternal Child Health and Occupational Therapy.
Our placement opportunities range from a 1 day observation-based experience to a fully immersive practical placement over 3+ months. We also offer research and project based placements and have a variety of staff members trained to provide student supervision.
Essential Attributes of Annie North Students
Prior knowledge of domestic and family violence is not essential but it is preferred that our students have some understanding of the impacts on women and children.
All prospective students must submit a formal application and undertake an interview and selection process. All placements are subject to a satisfactory working with children’s check and current criminal history record check prior to commencement.
We encourage applications from First Nations people, people with disabilities and from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
